8 Tips for a Successful Sleepover
1. Have the snacks and beverages set up before everyone arrives.
(Have water on the breakfast trays, popcorn popped and scooped, the signature drink ready to pour, and the candy bar ready to go.)
2. Designate a specific spot in the room for overnight bags.
3. Have the bathroom stocked with extra toiletries.
4. Have a welcome activity ready.
(Consider making Christmas ornaments, decorating the Christmas tree, or give them paper, scissors and tape and let them make decorations to put up around the room.)
5. Have the oven preheated for milk and warm chocolate chip cookies.
6. Set a clear "lights out" time with the group.
7. Keep dinner simple.
(I like to order pizza and make a salad.)
8. Keep breakfast simple.
(Let's be honest - those kids are going to be tired. Keep it easy for you and them with fruit, cereal, packaged oatmeal, muffins, and juice.)
